Jobs building Nigeria’s technical capacity and advancing sustainable manufacturing
Nigeria bears the world’s highest burden of malaria. Local manufacturing of the latest mosquito net innovation will strengthen supply chains, reduce dependence on imports, and drive long-term health resilience across the region.
Long-lasting insecticide-treated nets are the cornerstone of malaria prevention. Between 2000 and 2024, they were responsible for approximately 1.13 billion malaria cases averted—72% of all cases prevented across Africa. Long-term commitment to producing nets closer to where they are needed is critical to sustaining this progress.
PermaNet Dual was developed by Vestergaard. It combines deltamethrin (a pyrethroid) and chlorfenapyr, two complementary active ingredients that work together to kill mosquitoes that have developed resistance to conventional insecticides.
These new-generation pyrethroid–chlorfenapyr nets are vital tool in global malaria control efforts, preventing an additional 39.3 million cases between 2018 and 2024.

SNG Health brings together the expertise of Vestergaard, a global social enterprise engineering innovative fabrics that protect people and help communities to thrive, with HarvestField Industries, a specialized Nigerian company focused on the importation and distribution of agrochemicals and the provision of malaria vector control products and services.
This initiative represents a new model for African-led production, with direct investment, technology transfer, and sustainable industrial growth to strengthen regional health.
The project is facilitated by the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC) and aligns with the Nigerian government’s goal of expanding domestic production to advance a self-sustaining, African-led approach to malaria control.
